Every day she is grateful for the opportunity to fight exclusively for the rights of families who have lost a loved one.
Tomiyo graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. She received a scholarship to attend Southern Methodist University of Dallas, but transferred to American University in Washington D.C. when a summer internship at a trade association became a full-time opportunity.
She worked as a legislative manager while attending law school, an experience which gave her the opportunity to participate in advocacy efforts before members of Congress. Success while working and attending law school demanded extremely hard work and extraordinary time management – skills that enable excellence in trial preparation today.
In her free time, Tomiyo enjoys participating in triathlon and watching sports and Jeopardy with her husband, who is also an attorney.
