Teegan was born and raised in Lancaster, Texas, where she attended Lancaster High School. She lettered in track and field where she was a 3x state champion. Her success in track led her to competing in the Southeastern Conference “SEC” for Vanderbilt University’s women’s track and field team. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in 2012.
She then attended Texas Southern University – Thurgood Marshall School of Law. During law school, Teegan was very active in several organizations, most notably, TMSL’s Law Journal on Gender, Race, & Justice where she was a review editor. While at law school she interned for the NAACP. She was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2015.
Teegan is the proud mother of a “fur baby,” a maltipoo named Brody.
