Man Found Dead in Demi Moore’s Pool After Drowning
An investigation was underway after a 21-year-old man drowned at Demi Moore’s home in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of L.A.’s Westside on Sunday morning, according to authorities and the Associated Press.Emergency personnel initially responded to a call for a water rescue in the 9700 block of Oak Pass Road shortly after 5:15 a.m., according to Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
But by the time crews arrived, the person was beyond medical help, Humphrey said.
The victim was later identified as Edenilson Steven Valle, of Los Angeles, said Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the drowning occurred in a backyard pool at the home of actress and producer Demi Moore.
Sgt. Bone of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West L.A. Division confirmed that the home belonged to a celebrity, but declined to identify them. He said the celebrity and their relatives were not home at the time.
The drowning was believed to be accidentally, as the man apparently did not know how to swim, according to Bone.
Valle was missing for 10 to 15 minutes before friends discovered his body floating in the deep end of the pool, Corral told KTLA.
Bone described the man as a friend of an assistant, and said the victim had no connection otherwise to the family.
