Driver Injured After Crashing Into Back of 18-Wheeler
A driver is recovering in the hospital after his Camaro crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler Monday morning on Highway 286 and County Road 204.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. Department of Public Safety troopers said the driver tried to pass the large truck by getting into the oncoming lane of traffic. When he got back into the correct lane, he crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler as it was trying to make a turn.
Emergency crews had to use the Jaws of Life to get the driver out of the vehicle. He was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
